ANN Board Candidate Application Process
The following Adult Numeracy Network Board of Directors positions are to be elected in 2022:

  • Treasurer

  • Newsletter Editor

  • President-Elect

  • Region 1: Northeast regional representative

  • Region 2: South regional representative

Important Dates:

    • April 1: Deadline to submit ANN Board Candidate Application
    • April 1-17: Nominating Committee creates and shares draft profiles with candidates
    • April 18-29: Scheduled meeting with Nominating Committee
    • May 1: Profile revisions due
    • May 3: Slate of nominations submitted to the Board
    • May 10: Candidate profiles posted to ANN site; election opens
    • June 3: Annual meeting; election closes; officers announced
    • June 4, 2022

All candidates for these positions will need to complete the following 3 steps:

All candidates for these positions will need to complete the following:

  1. Submit ANN Board Candidate Application by April 1, 2022
    • Respond to 3 of the 5 questions in the application.
    • The Nominating Committee will generate your DRAFT profile from the information and question responses you provide in the application. You can edit the profile as much as you’d like.
    • Finalized profiles will be publicly shared on the ANN website by May 10th for members to view before voting.
  2. 30-minute meeting with Nominating Committee (April 18-29)
        • Once we receive your application, Heidi will email you with available days and times. Meetings will take place April 18-29.
        • The Nominating Committee will meet with you to provide feedback on your profile, address any concerns or questions you might have, and to provide continuous support throughout the process.
        • We will also ask you to respond to one final prompt about your interest in serving in ANN leadership (below) that we would like to record via Zoom. This short video will be added to your profile and will be shared on the ANN site for members to view prior to voting. It's a way for people to get to know you a bit more and to let your personality shine. You will have a chance to view and approve the video before it's posted to the site.
          • Final Prompt: Share some aspects of your math story that make you want to work with ANN leadership.
  3. All profile revisions are due to Heidi by May 1st.
    • The slate of nominations will be submitted to the Board via email by May 3rd. Profiles will be made available to all ANN members on the ANN site by May 10th. Profiles will remain on the site through the end of the election at the annual meeting on June 3, 2022.
    • New officers begin their term on the Board on June 4, 2022.
