TODOS: Mathematics for All
Mathematics task design does not determine how teachers and students ultimately take up activities. However, different task features may encourage students to use particular language features such as explaining why or engaging with each others' thinking. In this presentation, I will review some research into the relationship between mathematics task design and the mathematical language practices of students.
