Abby Roza teaches all subjects in a one-room schoolhouse setting at a county correctional facility in Minnesota.
In this talk, she reflects on the impact low expectations have had on her teaching and her students and challenges herself and all of us to call upon the power of "yet" to imagine, and then build, a culture of high expectations in adult basic education. Quality math education for our students is a social justice issue and Abby is suiting up.

Abby's Call to Action asks us to imagine (and share):
- What would high expectations for ABE students look like?
- What questions can we ask to build a culture of high expectations in ABE?
- What action will follow these questions?
