Steffany Chaisson teaches adult education in Houma, Louisiana and serves on the state adult education board. She believes education needs a revolution, especially in math.

Steffany is fascinated by her students' reasoning, whether it results in the right or the wrong answer. In this talk, she describes how she learned to ask questions that focus on student thinking, multiple-strategies, justification and how those types of questions can reframe students negative ideas about themselves and math.
